Installation & Setup
RunScript requires installing three components.
Each part works together to connect your browser with After Effects.
Make sure all components are installed before using RunScript.
Browser Extension
Install the RunScript browser extension to enable script execution from supported websites.
Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensionsEnable Developer Mode
Click Load unpacked
Select the RunScript Browser Extension folder
The extension only needs to be installed once.
After Effects Monitor (ScriptUI Panel)
The Monitor is installed as a ScriptUI panel inside After Effects.
Run installer.bat as administrator
Enter your After Effects version when prompted
Restart Adobe After Effects
Open the panel via
Window → RunScript Monitor
Click Start inside the panel to begin monitoring.
Desktop Bridge
The Bridge connects your browser and After Effects.
Launch RunScript Bridge
Access it from the system tray
Enable Start with Windows (recommended)
Keep the Bridge running whenever you are using RunScript.
Final Check
Once all components are installed and running, RunScript is ready to use.
Your browser, Bridge, and After Effects Monitor should all be active and connected.
