Common Questions
Q: Nothing happens when I click a mode
A: Make sure you have selected one or more layers. MotionField only applies to selected layers. Also check that a composition is active.
Q: MF_Master is not created
A: Ensure you are inside an active composition. The controller is created only when a valid comp is selected.
Q: My animation looks too strong or too weak
A: Adjust Reach and Intensity. Keep Reach higher than Intensity for smoother results. Small changes can make a big difference.
Q: Layers are not moving as expected
A: Check the MF_Master position and Move settings. Also confirm that expressions are applied to the layer properties.
Q: Color Field is not working
A: Make sure you have selected a color property before applying the mode. For example, fill color or text color.
Q: Custom Field is not working
A: Ensure a valid property is selected such as a slider or effect value. MotionField cannot apply to unsupported properties.
Q: Animation feels too sharp or abrupt
A: Increase Reach or reduce Intensity to create smoother transitions between layers.
Q: Expressions are not applying
A: Make sure MotionField.ffx is placed correctly in the folder. Restart After Effects if needed.
Q: Panel is not visible
A: Go to Window > MotionField. Restart After Effects if it does not appear.
Q: License is not activating
A: Check your internet connection and enter the license key without spaces.
Q: Can I use MotionField on multiple groups of layers
A: Yes. You can apply MotionField to different sets of layers. All of them will respond to the same MF_Master unless you create separate setups manually.
Q: Can I combine multiple modes on the same layer
A: Yes. You can apply Full Field, Color Field, and Custom Fields together for more complex results.
